Importing A Storylines XML into DaVinci Resolve

  1. Create a New Project. Open up Resolve, and select the “Media” tab below.

2. Import Your Timeline. right click the bin, and select Timelines > Import > XML. Import your XML file from your downloads, and then it will prompt you to find your clips you used for the project. You can download your assets in the email sent to you upon export, including b-roll.

3. Link Your Clips. Find your clips in your computers browser window, and the timeline will now appear in your “edit” tab.

4. View Your Timeline. Here, you’ll have your full timeline, along with markers that include the transcript for each individual clip.

Once opened, you'll see your highlight in landscape, portrait, and Instagram formats.
